Roastery Production Coordinator

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and responsible Roastery Production Coordinator to join our team. This is a hands-on position involving coffee roasting, quality control, production planning, packaging and day-to-day roastery operations. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily and weekly coffee roasting operations, including sample roasting of new green coffees
• Support quality control through cupping, sensory evaluation, roast consistency checks and coffee colour analysis
• Assist with production planning and maintain accurate roasting profiles, Cropster data and green coffee usage records
• Operate drip-bag machinery and handle retail and wholesale coffee packaging
• Monitor green coffee, roasted coffee, packaging materials and production inventory
• Carry out routine equipment cleaning, preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient roastery environment
• Communicate proactively with the team on production progress, outstanding tasks and operational issues
• Support coffee R&D and other roastery projects as required

Requirements

• 2–3 years of hands-on barista experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of coffee origins, processing methods, espresso and brewing
• Basic sensory evaluation and cupping experience
• Previous roasting, production or inventory experience is an advantage
• Basic proficiency in Word, Excel and Google Docs/Sheets; Cropster experience is a plus
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Responsible, reliable and able to take ownership of assigned work
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to follow through on tasks independently
• A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Genuine interest in developing a long-term career in coffee roasting and production
