About the Role
We're seeking a professional and personable Receptionist to join our vibrant team on Wyndham Street, in the heart of Hong Kong's bustling dining and entertainment district. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys being the first point of contact for our valued guests. As the voice and face of our establishment, you'll play a crucial role in creating memorable first impressions and ensuring seamless communication between our guests and our operational teams. You'll be working alongside a young, energetic team that values collaboration, positivity, and exceptional service standards. This role suits someone who enjoys variety in their day — from handling telephone enquiries and managing reservations to coordinating catering requests and supporting our events programme. If you're organised, guest-focused, and ready to contribute to a dynamic hospitality venue in Central, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- - Manage incoming telephone calls with professionalism and efficiency, providing accurate information to guests and potential clients
- - Process and coordinate guest reservations, ensuring accuracy and timely confirmations
- - Respond to email enquiries promptly, covering general information, dining reservations, and special requests
- - Assist with catering enquiries and coordinate details with the relevant teams
- - Support the planning and execution of private events, liaising with guests to understand their requirements
- - Maintain organised records of bookings, enquiries, and guest preferences
- - Provide a warm, welcoming presence for walk-in guests
- - Collaborate with front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations
- - Handle guest feedback and queries with tact and professionalism
Requirements
- The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of experience working as a receptionist or in a front-of-house role within the hotel or restaurant industry. You're comfortable in a guest-facing position and understand the pace and expectations of Hong Kong's hospitality sector. You have excellent communication skills in both English and Cantonese — Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage given our diverse clientele. You're naturally organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on service quality. You're a team player with a positive, can-do attitude who remains calm and professional during busy periods. Proficiency with reservation systems and general computer skills (email, Microsoft Office) is essential. Previous experience handling event or catering enquiries is highly desirable. Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy hospitality work and take pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences from the very first interaction.
