About the Role
Epicurean Group is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join the team at Jimmy's Kitchen, one of Hong Kong's most iconic Continental restaurants. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, this role is responsible for delivering excellent pastries and desserts in accordance with the brand's high standards. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the pastry section, from daily production to team development, ensuring that every dish contributes to an outstanding dining experience. This is a hands-on leadership position within a prestigious restaurant that has been a Central landmark since 1928.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the pastry section in both food production and people management. Maintain consistency of excellent quality and standard of plated desserts. Ensure the smooth flow of daily pastry and dessert production at the restaurant. Assist the Executive Chef in menu design for the pastry section. Monitor cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. Adhere to portion control, cost control, and safety and hygiene standards. Support and lead multi-assignments aligned with the business plan and development.
Requirements
- Diploma or above in hotel management, culinary arts, or related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in reputable hotels or restaurants, with a proven track record in a similar role. Hands-on skill in setting up and running a pastry section is essential. Strong creative and innovative approach to food development. Great attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and management skills. Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.
